My entries for 2008 art show

Stamped scenes

From 2008. I was a member of an online group devoted to scenestamping, and posted cards to the gallery from time to time.

That summer, I entered two scenes to an art show at church, using a line from the song “Aint No Mountain High Enough” as the sentiment.

Here are the Posh Impressions and Stampscapes versions of that scene.

The scenes use a combination of inks and stamps on paper. I wrote the sentiment on each card and colored in the river. The Posh Impressions version was stamped with a Posh stamp of water ripples, then colored with an ink marker, stopping close to the riverbank.

The Stampscapes version of the river was colored with pencil scribbled across to resemble ripples in the water.

Images from the Stampscapes rubber stamping collection can be found at http://www.stampscapes.com. Lessons in creating stamped scenes are available at the company’s website and at http://www.Youtube.com.
