Any time is the season to thank someone. This week is a time to prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving in the United States, which is the inspiration for the selection of this month’s cards.
I’m thankful for the opportunity to share my cardmaking and weaving online, and to learn how to make that dream a reality here. What are you thankful for?
I’m also thankful for health, family and friends, and for all the activities I get to participate in, both online and in real life.
Here are a few of the “Thank You” cards I’ve made to express my appreciation:
The card in the upper left, pinktu-med, was one of my first cards using Posh Impressions’ rainbow ink on glossy cardstock. I added a button to give it more texture.
The card in the upper right was created using paper, the same “Thank you!” stamp I used in ThankYouFriend, and a sample of my own printing.
The larger card also uses paper and ink with rubber stamping. I created it about the time I rediscovered yarn and fabric, which influenced the use of the yellow yarn and . . . paper that looks like it could be fabric.
Enjoy the holiday season, and look for another “Cardmaking Feature” around Dec. 21.
Thank you for visiting Words & Other Arts!
